Incorporated in 1999, “Lino de Castro, Horta e Costa & Associados, Sociedade de Advogados, RL” (LCHC) provides specialized legal services in multiple practice areas, to small, medium and some big companies, national as well as multinational. In addition, LCHC also provides legal services to individual clients, with emphasis in family and succession law.

Since its creation, LCHC has always been a medium-size law firm in terms of lawyer headcount and does not wish to become a “lawyer factory”, merely organized in specialized, insulated practice areas. And why? Because it is what our clients request, and we give priority to their interests and needs.

All clients require the highest level of professionalism, but the truth is that most of them do not wish that the professionals providing the requested services be divided in countless, crowded departments, making them have multiple interlocutors to deal with. It is also our conviction that anonymity and the lack of a close relationship constitutes a serious obstacle to the strengthening of relationships based on trust and partnership (that we constantly seek to develop), and often create additional difficulties to obtain the best solutions for our clients’ problems.

On the contrary, the services we provide, based on excellence and developed by highly qualified professionals are the result of a strong internal coordination, and our way of working always ensures the participation of a Partner, not only in the initial presentation phase but also during the total duration of the professional relationship.

LCHC has therefore been providing legal services during the last two decades, to clients from multiple fields of activity, including financial institutions, companies in the fields of civil construction, automotive, electrical equipment, food and non-food distribution as well as power generation companies.

A significant part of our clients is from the German-speaking business community and consequently we have fluent German-speaking lawyers as well as one colleague certified as lawyer in Germany, enabling us to provide legal counselling in German.
